An ancient treasure is unearthed, with this 1926 New York Yankees team signed baseball game used Official American League Baseball. Winners of the 1926 Pennant, the Yankees were nothing less than a juggernaut at the time, and at least a half dozen of the signers were on the legendary 1927 Yankees team that is often considered the greatest of all-time. This ball hosts (11) steel-tip fountain pen autographs with: Yankees: “Babe” Ruth (enhanced signature, HOF, d.1948), Waite Hoyt (HOF, d.1984), Tony Lazzeri (HOF, d.1946), Bob Shawkey (d.1980), “Dutch” Ruether (d.1970), Mike Gazella (d.1978); Others: Bill McGown (HOF umpire, d.1954), Bill Hunnefield (d.1976); and (3) undetermined, with one potentially being “Chick” Galloway.
