Jeff Nelson came over to the New York Yankees from the Seattle Mariners in the same trade that brought Tino Martinez as well. Nelson was a strong right handed presence in the Yankees bullpen that produced four World Series titles in five seasons and was the perfect bridge to Hall of Fame closer Mariano Rivera.

Offered here is the jersey Nelson wore during the Historic 1999 World Series that comes directly from the personal collection of Jeff Nelson. Nelson was flawless in the postseason, not allowing any earned runs as the Yankees cruised to another World Series title. This Russell Athletic size 50 button-down road Yankees jersey has NEW YORK in sewn on in block letters across the chest in navy and white tackle twill. The Russell tag and a white tag with NELSON 97 in faded black print are sewn on the front left tail, along with 100% POLYESTER and 4 EXTRA LENGTH flags. The sleeves have navy/white/navy stripes on the ends, with the right sleeve having the 1999 World Series logo patch and the right sleeve having a small 5 sewn on in black tackle twill in memory of the late Yankee great and Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio. Nelsons number 43 is sewn on the back in navy and white tackle twill.

Adding to this jersey are 38 signatures from members of the 1999 World Series champion team that Nelson had sign. All of the signatures are in black marker and were signed on the front of the jersey.
