Tremendous and rare Boston Red Sox hat worn by fireballing Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez for the 1999 All-Star Game at Fenway Park. Traditional navy cap has Old English raised “B” logo in red-on-white, and MLB patch on back. Inside brim has MLB Authentic, New Era, and size 7 1/8 tagging. Side to the wearer’s left has embroidered 45th Anniversary All Star Game logo. Nice use shown includes sweat stains around the brim. Signed under the bill in black Sharpie with MVP 1999 inscription in his own hand. With teammates Nomar Garciaparra and Manny Ramirez in the starting lineup at shortstop and right field, respectively, Pedro took to the mound as the American League’s starting pitcher. He was at his dominant best, striking out five of the six batters he faced over two innings of perfect work, enough to earn ASG MVP honors in the junior circuit’s 4-1 victory over the National League.
