A classic piece of Americana, from a classic era in Miami sports history! This was Dolphins style, circa 1966 – lovable expansion losers of the AFL, sporting unique bright aquamarine uniforms and bringing the Pro game to the Orange Bowl for the first time. From the era of Dick Wood, Joe Auer, Bo Robertson, Dave Kocourek, Ed Cooke, Tom Erlandson, Jim Warren, Willie West and all the rest of that scrappy bunch. A rare poster from the very first season of Dolphins football, and part of the earliest full-sized (two-feet-by-three-feet) sports poster series ever published! All NFL and AFL teams of the era were published in this series, which features bold, colorful artwork and a simple black-and-white team title along the bottom – great 1960s style that will bring back a flood of memories. These posters pre-date the more well-known NFL Collectors Series (sold through Sports Illustrated) by a couple of years, and are much more difficult to find!For serious collectors only – grab it now if you need it.
